About

Our Origin Story

Rehoboth Baptist Fellowship was founded in 2002 as a Christ-centered, Bible-believing local Christian church. Our mission is to provide a credible witness for Jesus Christ in all that we do.

Our purpose is to bring honor and glory to God as a body of believers, and we are learning how to do that by studying God's Word, the Bible. This uncompromising commitment has helped us establish a Christ-honoring, Bible-based worship experience where many have been spiritually born again into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

It is not unusual for people to come to church without having truly come to Christ. There is an eternity of difference between the two. Religion without a relationship with God is perhaps the most popular form of spiritual idolatry, utterly incapable of producing saving faith that follows the principles of genuine Christianity.

We have enjoyed continuous blessings throughout our brief history, and our faith has been strengthened through the fulfillment of God’s promises as we have followed the principles established in His Word.

At Rehoboth we are regularly challenged and encouraged to Love God, Learn His Word, Live For Christ and Lead Others to do Likewise, which has become the overarching theme of our teaching and preaching ministries.

If you are looking for a church where Christ is honored, the Bible is the final authority in all matters of faith and practice, the Pastor and Staff are held in high esteem as they strive to serve God’s people, and a place where the presence of the Holy Spirit is evident in worship and fellowship… we hope that God will send you our way soon

Our Mission

Faith, Family, Friends and Fellowship

These four concepts provide a foundation for the abundant life that Jesus mentions in the gospel of John. We are living in a time and culture that has never before had more and enjoyed less. We were created by God to function with enthusiasm, direction and a sense of moral dignity and purpose.

At Rehoboth our mission is to reach people for Christ through a Bible based ministry that focuses on life-application principles which intersect with our everyday life.

How do we do this?

At Rehoboth:

  • You will hear sound Biblical teaching and preaching that can help us learn God’s Will and Way for our lives. God’s Word is full of help for our hindrances, prescriptions for our problems and counsel for the many challenges we face every day.

  • You will find exciting activities for all ages and stages of life.

  • Your little ones will be lovingly and competently cared for in our clean, organized and well staffed nursery.

  • Our children’s and youth programs teach your children Biblical principles and values that will remain with them for a lifetime.

Our Core Values

Biblical Authority

We believe that the Bible is the Word of God and carries more authority than church traditions or cultural norms. Therefore, we strive to keep the Bible as the primary focus of our teaching, preaching, reaching and the ultimate standard by which we make our decisions.

2 Timothy 3:16-17

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

The Supremacy of Christ

We believe that Christ alone is the head of the church and we are the body. Therefore, we strive to keep Him as the focal point of our corporate and personal worship and to conform all our activities to His will.

Colossians 2:8-10

Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power.

The Gospel Message of Redemption and Hope

We believe in the good news of the transforming work of Christ’s death and resurrection for all believers. Therefore, we should strive to personally and corporately reach out by lip and by life to those at home and abroad, through relevant means consistent with Godly teaching.

Romans 1:16

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

Prayer

We believe prayer is the essential mode by which we communicate with God. Therefore, we strive to make private and corporate prayer an essential part of all our ministry endeavors from conception through completion.

Philippians 4:6-7

Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.  And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Holy Living

We believe that God has chosen us out of darkness and placed us into His marvelous light. Therefore, we must strive to live in such a way that we reflect the character of Christ.

1 Peter 1:15-16

But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.

Authentic Worship

God deserves all the glory and praise we can possibly give Him. Therefore, we should strive to make our worship, (especially our Worship Services) excellent, authentic and Christ-honoring throughout.

John 4:23-24

But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

Personal Christian Growth

We believe that continual growth in all areas of the Christian life is one of the benefits of being in Christ. Therefore, we strive to create an environment that enhances the development of personal spiritual growth.

2 Peter 3:18

But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever. Amen.

Strong Christian Relationships

We believe that God intended for His church to be composed of strong Christian relationships among the believers to promote spiritual growth. Therefore, we should strive to maintain a sense of openness, accountability, and atmosphere that strengthens both healthy and broken families, and a heart that reaches the needs of every age and race.

Romans 12:10

Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another.

Excellence

We believe that excellence is an essential part of God’s character and that all pursuits of the local church should reflect this quality. Therefore, we strive to demonstrate excellence in every function of the church’s ministries, as well as in the maintenance of all facilities and equipment.

1 Corinthians 14:40

Let all things be done decently and in order.
